N'Wide: Happy Birthday S WallaceMonday 8/18, 6:09 PM CT
Steve Wallace turns 21 on Monday, August 18 and he will be looking for a gift this week at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Our View: A good finish would indeed be a gift. His best Nationwide finish on this track was 16th in March, but he does have one victory in the UARA series there.
Three Cup drivers in CTS BristolMonday 8/18, 5:35 PM CT
Three active NSC drivers will race at Bristol on Wednesday night in order to get more track time and improve their performance. Jimmie Johnson will race for Randy Moss, Kyle Busch will race for Billy Ballew and Patrick Carpentier will run for Bobby Hamilton.

Our View: Bristol is a rhythm track and there is no substitute for track time. Carpentier and Johnson have generally disappointing records on this track and need the practice.
N'Wide: Dillon to make debutMonday 8/18, 5:13 PM CT
Austin Dillon , son of Mike and grandson of Richard Childress is set to make his Nationwide debut at Richmond International Raceway according to NASCAR.com.

Our View: This 18-year-old has been racing admirably in the Camping World East series and sits third in the points with a win and six top-10s in nine starts, so Dillon is a bargain basement driver to watch.
Marlin on Bristol entry listMonday 8/18, 3:34 PM CT
The entry list for the Sharpie 500 has been released and local favorite Sterling Marlin is one of 47 entries in a James Finch Chevy.

Our View: Marlin has 18 Cup top-10s on this track as well as one victory in the Nationwide Series. Drivers always run best on their home track and he hails from Columbia, Tenn.
The wait is almost over for LoganoMonday 8/18, 12:05 PM CT
Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) has announced a press conference for Monday, August 25th and it is believed they will announce Joey Logano will become the fulltime driver of the No. 20 in 2009, according to NASCAR.com.

Our View: Logano is also expected to make his Cup debut at Richmond and while his salary cap is low, he will be fantasy gold.
