Scott Chandler suffered a toe injury in the Chargers' final preseason game which forced him to be placed on the IR and miss the 2008 season.

Shawne Merriman, LB

The North County Times reports that the Chargers won't know how much playing time Shawne Merriman will be able to handle in Sunday's opener against Carolina until they see how he is holding up.

Our View:Merriman is playing with two torn ligaments in his knee, and fantasy owners will be playing Russian Roulette with him in the lineup, as he can go down at any given moment.
