Jeremy Thompson left Sunday's game against the Colts with a stinger in his back and shoulder, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Thompson said, "It’s something that I’ve been dealing with ever since high school. It was a perfect hit in the neck. In most scenarios I’m OK out there. Sometimes I get in a compromising position."

Our View:He did not return to action, but noted that the pain subsided after the game. The Packers have a bye in Week 8, giving him extra time to recover.

Fourth-round pick Jeremy Thompson (Wake Forest) inked a four-year deal with the Packers reportedly worth $3.4 million, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Our View:Thompson is a good athlete, but needs work on his technique before he can challenge for a favorable role with the Packers.
