Head coach Mike McCarthy might be overly optimistic, delusional or able to see things others can't, but he’s not overly concerned about his offensive guard situation, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "We need to improve inside in the run game," McCarthy said. "There were a number of situations - and it's more technique and recognition - but not making excuses, part of it is being young and part of it you can attribute to us rolling guys in there. We need to continue to find that continuity." There's nothing to debate when it comes to the play of the guards in the running game the last two seasons. It wasn't good at all, but McCarthy insists it isn't as bad as it looked and will get better once the competition between Jason Spitz, Daryn Colledge, Allen Barbre, Junius Coston, Tony Moll and Tony Palmer is complete.
