Nick Kaczur has been activated from the PUP list, according to the Boston Globe. Coach Bill Belichick said, "Nick's been a good player for us, he's played a couple different spots. We will probably be able to use that versatility now that our numbers are a little bit low. Hopefully they will climb back soon." During his brief absence, the Patriots were shorthanded on the offensive line.

Our View:It was never revealed if he was placed on the PUP list due to an ailment or just to give him time to settle his legal matter.

Nick Kaczur, who was in court Monday stemming from his arrest in April for illegal possession of the prescription painkiller OxyContin, opened training camp on the PUP list, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:He will have a misdemeanor drug charge dropped if he can stay out of trouble for six months. The team did not specify if he was placed on the PUP list due to a physical ailment or just to give him time to settle his legal matter.

ESPN.com reports that Nick Kaczur pleaded guilty on Tuesday to speeding in a deal with prosecutors that will put a misdemeanor drug possession charge on hold.

Our View:Kaczur will be in camp on Wednesday and it does not appear he will face suspension at this point. The article does mention Kaczur ratting out his supplier which led to an arrest, so bad karma should be hanging over the former Pro Bowler's head.

Nick Kaczur had 202 OxyContin pills labeled as being made in Canada when he was arrested in April in New York, according to ESPN.com. Kaczur is scheduled to be arraigned next week in Whitestown, N.Y., on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor.

Our View:Kaczur will remain with the Pats despite the arrest.

The Patriots have stated that Nick Kaczur will remain with the team despite his recent drug charges, according to SI.com. In case you missed it, Kaczur was arrested in New York State on April 27 after police said a small amount of OxyContin was found in his truck following a traffic stop. Kaczur then helped the DEA catch the man who was allegedly supplying him with the drug in a sting operation.

Our View:The team did not make a statement regarding possible discipline for his arrest.
