Braylon Edwards had just his second 100-yard game of the season on Monday as the Browns defeated the Bills 29-27. He had eight catches for 104 yards, but failed to grab a touchdown.

Our View:Edwards has a mere 35 catches on the season. Prior to Week 11, his biggest single-game total this season had been five. He seems to be a far cry away from his 80-catch, 16 touchdown performance from a season ago. Hopefully, Brady Quinn will get him going in that direction once again.
November 6, 2008
Braylon Edwards continued to disappoint fantasy owners Thursday night, making just one catch for 15 yards.

Our View:Edwards has been a huge bust in fantasy this year, reaching 100-yards receiving just once with only three touchdowns.
November 2, 2008
Wide receiver Braylon Edwards caught four balls for 86 yards and one touchdown in the Week 9 loss to Baltimore.

Our View:After scoring 16 times last year, Edwards has been a major disappointment in 2008 with only three touchdowns at the halfway point of the campaign.
October 20, 2008
Braylon Edwards noted that he was frustrated in the Browns' inability to move the ball Sunday, which led to four dropped passes, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He said, "I just saw some things and I think we missed some things early and it leads to frustration. I saw some things and those things didn't get completed or didn't happen and it caused me to get frustrated and lose my edge. It messed with my game."

Our View:Edwards has 20 grabs for 307 yards and two scores this season, and is way behind his pace of 2007, when he broke out with 1,289 receiving yards and 16 scores.
October 16, 2008
Braylon Edwards will be guarded by Carlos Rogers rather than Shawn Springs on Sunday due to Rogers' quality play in recent games, according to the Washington Post.

Our View:Edwards doubled his season's production in last Monday's game against the Giants when he caught five passes for 154 yards and one touchdown. Rogers should be able to prevent that kind of big game from happening again.
October 13, 2008
Braylon Edwards finally had a big game, catching five passes for 154 yards and one touchdown in the Browns' 35-14 win over New York.

Our View:We're not sure where this has been, but we knew it was coming ... at some point. Hopefully for fantasy owners who used a high pick on him, these kind of games will become more frequent.
September 28, 2008
Wide receiver Braylon Edwards had three receptions for 22 yards and a touchdown in the Week 4 victory over Cincinnati.

Our View:Edwards might have scored, but he continues to disappoint his fantasy owners with low yardage numbers. Braylon has yet to break the 100-yard barrier in all four games combined.
September 26, 2008
Braylon Edwards (shoulder) practiced without restriction on Friday, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:Edwards will play against the Bengals in what we all hope will be a shootout this weekend.
September 25, 2008
Braylon Edwards caught 16 passes for 198 yards and four touchdowns in two meetings with the Bengals last season.

Our View:Sure he has only 73 yards and no touchdowns this season, but make sure he's in your lineups this weekend. The Bengals are a perfect opponent to get Edwards going again.
September 24, 2008
It has been a rough start for Braylon Edwards this year and on Wednesday he was limited in practice due to a shoulder injury, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View:In three games this year Edwards has only 73 yards and no touchdowns to go along with at least six drops. The Browns have had three tough match-ups against the Cowboys, the Steelers and last week verse the Ravens. It's not time, as of yet, to jump off the Edwards bandwagon but if he continues on this path you will have a decision to make in a few weeks.
September 21, 2008
Braylon Edwards was held to three catches for 27 yards on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. He has just 73 yards on eight catches this season.

Our View:Relax. Things will get better for the super-talented wideout. His shoulder shouldn't become a long term injury and his schedule can only get easier. The Browns have faced Dallas, Pittsburgh and Baltimore through three weeks. If another owner is frustrated with Edwards, swoop in and grab him while his value is at an all-time low.
September 21, 2008
Wide receiver Braylon Edwards (shoulder) will start in Week 3 against the Ravens, the team's official web site confirms.

Our View:Edwards is off to a slow, injury-riddled start this season, but he is too talented to bench in many fantasy leagues. The Ravens probably won't make this Sunday any easier than the last two.
September 19, 2008
Braylon Edwards (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens according to the team's website.

Our View:Even if he does go on Sunday against the Ravens, don't expect him to bust out of his slump. Baltimore's secondary is exceptional and Edwards is still getting into regular season form after missing much of the preseason.
September 17, 2008
Braylon Edwards (shoulder) was limited in practice on Wednesday according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View:Edwards should go on Sunday against the Ravens, but don't expect him to bust out of his slump. Baltimore's secondary is exceptional and Edwards is still getting into regular season form after missing much of the preseason.
September 16, 2008
Cleveland coach Romeo Crennel blamed the struggles of receiver Braylon Edwards on the fact that he missed three preseason games along with significant practice time, according to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.

Our View:Edwards has had a miserable two games, catching just five passes for 46 yards and no touchdowns. Both the Browns and fantasy owners need him to step up soon.
September 14, 2008
Braylon Edwards continued to struggle, catching just three passes for 32 yards as the Browns lost to Pittsburgh, 10-6.

Our View:This performance, combined with Week 1's two-catch effort, is not what fantasy owners planned when they made Edwards one of the highest receivers drafted. He and the entire Browns offense need to step it up.
September 7, 2008
Braylon Edwards recorded only two receptions for a total of just 14 yards in Sunday afternoon's 28-10 loss to the Cowboys. The All-Pro receiver dropped two big passes, one that was a sure touchdown.

Our View:Edwards was just one of many players who sat out most of the preseason, and as a result looked rusty in their season openers.
September 1, 2008
Braylon Edwards (foot), quarterback Derek Anderson (concussion), Donte Stallworth (hamstring), and Jamal Lewis (hamstring) all missed time during training camp and the preseason due to injuries, but Edwards does not believe the team's rhythm or chemistry will be compromised heading into the season opener against Dallas, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. Edwards said, "You're talking about a team that's been together for a year. We've done this all offseason; guys stayed and have been together in Cleveland when we could have been other places. We'll be fine. You're talking the pros. It doesn't take a lot of chemistry to do what Josh Cribbs does. He does all that on his own, anyway. We'll be fine when the game starts."

Our View:Edwards returned to practice Monday without any issues, and feels he is completely healthy following his recovery from a gash on his foot.
August 29, 2008
Braylon Edwards says he is completely healthy after recovering from a gash on his foot, and will begin practicing Monday to prepare for playing in the Browns Week 1 contest, according to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.

Our View:Good news for fantasy owners, as Edwards is one of the top receivers in the game, and some were getting nervous that he would not be ready to play.
August 26, 2008
Braylon Edwards will miss his third straight preseason game Thursday with a lacerated foot, according to the Bengals' official site. Coach Romeo Crennel hopes Edwards will be ready to go for the regular season opener. "They (the team doctors and trainers) tell me he'll be back practicing for that game," he said. "If he's out there, then I'll believe it."

Our View:It would be extremely surprising if Braylon isn't in the lineup in Week 1, but check back for updates just to make sure.
August 11, 2008
Braylon Edwards stayed away from his teammates on Monday because of his injured foot, but the team doesn't believe Edwards will be set back due to the injury, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "I'm not worried that he won't be back," HC Romeo Crennel said. "They checked him out at the hospital so that they could investigate if there was anything more than a cut, but it's nothing more than a cut.

Our View:Edwards will miss the teams next game against the Giants, but the Browns expect him to be at full strength in plenty of time to do some serious damage to the opposing team once the games count.
August 10, 2008
Braylon Edwards had to go to the hospital to get his foot stitched up after teammate Donte Stallworth stepped on it, according to Cleveland.com. Edwards did not have shoes on and was wearing only socks participating in a "mock race" with Stallworth when the incident happened.

Our View:Edwards will not practice while the stitches are in his foot, and it is possible he will miss the team's next preseason game. It doesn't seem to be a very big deal, but fantasy owners and Browns fans would appreciate it if from now on their No. 1 receiver wore shoes at all times on the field.
July 30, 2008
The Browns' official website is raving about Braylon Edwards' camp performance. "(He) continues to amaze. He makes the near-impossible catch look easy and beats double teams by sprinting past or jumping over defenders. He's dropped maybe two passes out of 400, and some of the balls he's caught would have been incompletions to just about anybody else."

Our View:Edwards is widely considered a top-4 wideout in fantasy circles. He hauled in an impressive 16 touchdowns in his third season last year. Among the top-4, he is younger (25) than Randy Moss (31), Reggie Wayne (29), and Terrell Owens (34). That gives reason to believe he has the most upside of the group.
June 4, 2008
Braylon Edwards sustained a hip pointer two weeks ago, but he practiced fully on Tuesday, and is showing no lingering effects of the injury, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View:This further confirms that the ailment wasn't serious. He established himself as an elite receiver last season, and shouldn't disappoint in 2008.
May 28, 2008
Braylon Edwards remains out of action as of May 28, but he's away for personal reasons, the team's official web site reports. He injured his hip flexor on May 20 and has not practiced since that time. He will take the field when he rejoins the team, though.

Our View:This news simply confirms that the ailment wasn't serious. Edwards' injury was overshadowed, as Daven Holly ruined his knee on the same play.
May 21, 2008
Braylon Edwards sustained a hip pointer in practice as he landed awkardly when cornerback Daven Holly attempted to break up a pass, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Edwards remained inside to workout on Wednesday, but Holly could be lost for the season, as he reportedly sustained ligament and cartilage damage in his knee.

Our View:Edwards is listed as day-to-day. We will keep you posted when more details are revealed on his status.
February 10, 2008
The Fox announcers, during Sunday's Pro Bowl, said AFC Coach Norv Turner was impressed with Braylon Edwards during the practice week, according to the Plain Dealer. What's not to like about Edwards? The Browns go-to wide out offered proof that receivers in their third season finally get it. Edwards registers 80 receptions for 1289 yards with a staggering 16 touchdowns this season. Fantasy websites this winter are already listing the Browns No. 1 offensive weapon as a Top-30 player in 2008 'Keeper' rankings.
