Kwame Harris returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since being hurt in Week 1 against the Broncos according to the Sacramento Bee.

Our View:The left tackle's status for Week 4 is still up in the air. He is recovering from an injured knee and it would seem likely they will keep him out of game action until Week 6 after they return from their bye.

Kwame Harris remains out with a knee injury, and Mario Henderson is taking first-team reps at left tackle for the second straight week, according to the SF Chronicle. Harris will be listed as questionable for Week 3.

Our View:Henderson held up well in last Sunday's win over the rival Chiefs as he did now allow a sack. Buffalo will present a tougher match-up, but Henderson likely gained some confidence in his first start and should be ready for the challenge if Harris cannot go.

Kwame Harris missed practice today and Mario Henderson is expected to start at left tackle in Week 2 against the Chiefs, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Our View:Henderson has struggled with confidence issues in training camp and the preseason, and quarterback JaMarcus Russell and the Raiders' offense look to be headed for a long day if Henderson starts.

The Oakland Raiders signed offensive tackle Kwame Harris as a potential replacement for Barry Sims on the left side of the line, according to the Sporting News. Offensive line coach Tom Cable will reportedly make Harris one of his pet projects during offseason workouts and throughout training camp. The Raiders are hopeful that Cable can capitalize on Harris' intelligence and speed and make him an effective player in his zone-blocking scheme. Harris is a proven run blocker, but he tends to struggle in pass protection.

Kwame Harris has moved across the Bay. The former 49ers first-round pick agreed to a three-year, $16 million deal with the Raiders on Tuesday, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. We can only assume the Raiders did not hear the loud boos that Harris routinely received while playing for the 49ers. He should compete for a starting tackle spot.
