Eagles receiver Kevin Curtis is still battling back from a sports hernia, and though the team was hopeful he would suit up Week 5, that doesn't seem like it is going to happen, according to PhillyBurbs.com.

Our View:Curtis has not completely ruled out suiting up, but it would be a surprise if he did. When he comes back, he should be able to make an impact in fantasy leagues, but that will have to wait for the moment.

There is a possibility that Eagles receiver Kevin Curtis will play Week 5 when the team takes on the Redskins, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Curtis has been out with a sports hernia. He certainly deserves the attention of fantasy owners upon his return, especially with the way the Eagles are moving the ball this season.

Kevin Curtis, out recovering from a hernia operation, practiced all week with the scout team but will still be listed as doubtful to play in Week 4, according to Scout.com.

Our View:Hank Baskett will likely continue to start in Curtis' place, though Curtis appears to be closing in on his first appearance of the 2008 season.

Coach Andy Reid indicated that Kevin Curtis, who is recovering from sports hernia surgery, may make his 2008 debut this weekend at Chicago, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Reid said, "We'll see. I'm going to do a little bit like I did with Reggie Brown, when we brought Reggie back, just to see where he's at exactly. Things looked good in the rehab process that he went through and he looked like he had his speed and his quickness and all that, but you really don't know until you see him out there practicing. We'll see how he does. If he can play, he'll play and if not, then he won't."

Our View:Curtis was the Eagles' top receiver in 2007 and should be scooped up off the waiver wire, but should not be considered for lineups this weekend if he plays in a tough match-up against the Bears, who will be out for blood following two straight close losses.

Kevin Curtis, who is recovering from sports hernia surgery, will begin practicing with the Eagles' scout team this week, according to the official team website.

Our View:This is encouraging news regarding his progress, but he still isn't ecpected to return to the Eagles' lineup before Week 6.
