Eric Heitmann inked a contract extension that will keep him in San Francisco through the 2011 season, according to the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat. He receives a signing bonus of $1.25 million, with base salaries of $800,000, $1.4 million, and $1.95 million over the next three years.

Our View:Heitmann is merely adequate as a starting center, but has made 89 starts for the 49ers since his rookie year in 2002.
