Our View:The concussion was deemed to be minor, and has seemingly cleared. Houshmandzadeh has been a lone bright spot for the Bengals' offense this season with 81 receptions for 810 yards and four scores. Barring a setback, he should be good to go for Week 14 at Indianapolis.
November 28, 2008
The Bengals' website reports that T.J. Houshmandzadeh (back) went the full practice on Friday and has been classified as probable for next Sunday's game.

Our View:Housh remains a strong play in PPR leagues, but he suffers some because of an inexperienced quarterback and the offense's lack of an effective running game.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh is already pondering leaving the Cincinnati Bengals at the end of this year, according to the Carroll County Times. "I think Cincinnati can win here, but it’s a tough situation,"Houshmandzadeh said. "When you haven’t signed a contract up until that point, and it’s sad to think like this, but your own mindset tells you that you’re going to leave because you haven’t signed a deal."

Our View:It sounds like Houshmandzadeh is interested in going to Baltimore, but he'll likely try to go to a contender after being frustrated with Cincy's losing ways. Houshmandzadeh is third in the NFL with 77 receptions this year even with starting quarterback Carson Palmer missing most of the season with an elbow injury, so it's unlikely that his services will come cheaply.
November 20, 2008
T.J. Houshmandzadeh gathered just four catches for 20 yards in Cincy's 27-10 loss to the Steelers.

October 29, 2008
Bengals wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh made a bold guarantee on Wednesday, according to NFL.com. He said not only would Cincinnati not go 0-16, but that they will win at least two games.

Our View:Houshmandzadeh must have a lot of confidence in his squad if he is predicting all of two wins. Still, he's one of the few players you can't blame for the mess in Cincinnati, as he has performed to the tune of 54 catches for 512 yards and three scores. He remains a solid fantasy option, despite his team's awfulness.
October 26, 2008

October 19, 2008
Wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh had eight catches for 58 yards in the Week 7 loss to Pittsburgh.

October 17, 2008
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that T.J. Houshmandzadeh (ankle) was a full participant in Friday's practice but he has been listed as questionable on the team's injury report.

October 16, 2008
T.J. Houshmandzadeh participated in only the stretching portion of Thursday's practice, according to Bengals.com. Housh tweaked his ankle last Sunday, but he was able to return to that game.

September 21, 2008
Wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught 12 passes for 146 yards and a touchdown in the Week 3 loss to the Giants.

Our View:Housh and the Bengals offense finally woke up. One outing can't erase all our concerns about this unit, but it looks like fantasy owners can trust Housh.
September 14, 2008

The Bengals' offense crashed and burned in Week 1 against Baltimore but T.J. Houshmandzadeh remains optimistic, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. He said, "It was bad, but it's weird, man. I think 16 teams go through this today. You look at the film and you say, 'Man, we had a lot of opportunities.' We all messed up, you know. I made mistakes. Everybody made mistakes, and it just seems like when you make a mistake, your mistake is a big part of the play. I'm disappointed but I'm still optimistic. We have 15 games remaining and I think we'll be all right."

Our View:Houshmandzadeh has been dealing with a sore hamstring, but fought through the ailment to catch three passes for 44 yards in the loss to Baltimore. He expects the offense to perform better in Week 2 against Tennessee, and there is no reason to consider sitting any of the Bengals' top offensive weapons this early in the season based on one bad week.

August 21, 2008
Coach Marvin Lewis addressed T.J. Houshmandzadeh's hamstring ailment, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Lewis said, "I think T.J. needs more time than he thinks he needs. When you're not out there and doing it, things move within the snap of the football, so it's important T.J. gets some snaps going and gets going here."

Our View:If healthy, Houshmandzadeh ranks as a top-8 fantasy receiver for 2008. His injury is believed to be minor, but he really needs to get some reps in the preseason to be in rhythm for Week 1.
August 18, 2008

Wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh is entering his eighth season, the last covered in his current four-year contract, but there have been no talks on an extension between his agent and the Cincinnati Bengals, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:"Don't worry about the contract year," Houshmandzadeh said. "I'm going to go out there and I'm going to get better, like I have. Since the Bengals have given me a chance to play, I've gotten better every year. And I'm going to get better this year." Houshmandzadeh’s attitude and professionalism provide a stark contrast to the Chad Johnson situation. He has improved his statistical output during each of the past four seasons, so we expect the Bengals to eventually step up to the plate with some new financials.
June 12, 2008

Houshmandzadeh told ESPN's Bob Holtzman. "I think eventually he'll show up, but then you have to worry about how much of a distraction he'll be."

This is why the Bengals do not expect Houshmandzadeh to attend conditioning sessions this coming Monday, or any day soon for that matter.
