Newsbreakers
November 23, 2008
Reggie Wayne was held to just 34 yards on two receptions on Sunday night.

Our View:Wayne hasn't had a huge game since Week 10 at Pittsburgh, but has very favorable match ups the next four weeks with the Browns, Bengals, Lions, and Jaguars coming up in that order. They finish against the Titans, a solid defensive team, but the Titans might just use backups in that game if they've already locked up home-field advantage. The Titans currently have a lead of two games or more on every team in the AFC.
November 16, 2008
Reggie Wayne had seven receptions for 90 yards in the Week 11 victory over Houston.

Our View:In the past two games, Wayne has compiled 13 receptions for 204 yards and a score. The Colts have an extremely soft schedule over the next month, so we expect his numbers to remain solid going forward.
November 14, 2008
Reggie Wayne missed practice for the second straight day Friday while nursing his ankle ailment, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Our View:He is still expected to play Sunday against the Texans, whose pass defense has allowed 15 scores through the air.
November 9, 2008
Receiver Reggie Wayne caught six passes for 114 yards and a score in the Colts' 24-20 win over the Steelers.

Our View:Wayne's touchdown reception was his fifth on the year but only his second 100-yard receiving game.
November 2, 2008
Updating an earlier report, Reggie Wayne slowed down a bit in the second half, finishing with 24 more yards on two grabs for a total of 65 yards on five receptions.

Our View:Wayne should be a solid fantasy option next week, if his injured knee continues to make progress during practice this week.
November 2, 2008
Reggie Wayne had three catches for 39 yards in the first half.

Our View:This should be encouraging to fantasy owners after the hit Wayne took last week. His injured knee hasn't appeared to be affecting him too much.
November 2, 2008
Updating an earlier report, Reggie Wayne will start tonight against the Colts. However, it is still unclear if he will start.

Our View:If you have Wayne on your roster and still have a spot for him this week, get him in there. He should still be good for a few points even if he doesn't score.
November 2, 2008
Wide receiver Reggie Wayne is expected to play tonight against New England, according to Adam Schefter of the NFL Network.

Our View:Wayne said yesterday he is ready to go. Coupled with this report, we expect him to play well against New England, who is rocking a banged up secondary.
November 1, 2008
Reggie Wayne is questionable with a knee injury but he says he will play Sunday against the Patriots, according to the Indianapolis Star. He said, "I am ready to go."

Our View:This is encouraging news, but the Colts did not officially say he will play, and he will remain a risky fantasy option, especially since the game will not be played until Sunday night.
October 31, 2008
Reggie Wayne sat out of practice for the second straight day Thursday while nursing a knee ailment, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:He is questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Wayne is a tough pro and has not missed a regular season game since his debut campaign in 2001.
October 27, 2008
Reggie Wayne caught only three passes for 29 yards in the Colts 31-21 loss to the Titans.

Our View:Wayne appeared to injure his leg in the second half but he returned to the field quickly and didn't appear to be hampered by the injury. The bottom line is that his numbers stunk simply because he couldn't find the open spaces in the Titans coverage.
October 23, 2008
Colts wideout Reggie Wayne has been practicing a lot as the team's slot receiver, with Anthony Gonzalez and Marvin Harrison outside in three-receiver sets, according to ESPN.com.

Our View:This move should not hurt Wayne's production at all. He has 35 catches on the year, with four touchdowns. As long as Wayne gets open, it doesn't matter where he starts the play, he'll get the ball.
October 12, 2008
Reggie Wayne had eight catches for 118 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 31-3 win over Baltimore on Sunday.

Our View:Wayne has been the most consistent wide receiver in the game this season, which was also a theme last season. He now has a score in four out of five games and has at least 74 yards in each game.
October 5, 2008
Reggie Wayne caught seven balls for 97 yards and a touchdown in the Week 5 win over Houston.

Our View:Wayne has compiled 74 or more receiving yards in every game this season, and he has scored in three of the past four weeks.
September 14, 2008
Reggie Wayne caught five balls for 93 yards and a score in the Colts' win over the Vikings Sunday.

Our View:It's Reggie's second straight solid game. He is still producing even though Indy's passing game has yet to hit its stride.
September 7, 2008
Reggie Wayne recorded 10 catches for 86 yards and a touchdown in the loss to Chicago on Sunday night. For all the yards Wayne put on the stat sheet, the Colts offense seemed quiet for most of the night scoring only 13 points.

Our View:Wayne's big numbers, with a rusty Peyton Manning under center, bodes well for fantasy owners going forward.
May 26, 2008
Indianapolis wide receiver Reggie Wayne was recently asked about the status and outlook for fellow Colt wideout Marvin Harrison, and Wayne offered just one reply, stating, "I guess I'm Marv now," according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View:It may be an innocent quote taken in passing, hoping to get reporters off his back, but it may also indicate how the Colts are treating the news of Harrison's legal issues in Philadelphia and how they may affect the team. The concerns about Harrison based on age alone are enough to make us wonder, but if the team is ready to move on without him (and asking the players to do so as well), that may speak more about Harrison's future than anything.
