Plaxico Burress is back with his teammates after being suspended for one game but it doesn't appear that he has turned over a new leaf, according to Slam Sports. We'll let him speak for himself. "I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. I got me some rest and was able to get away for a while and chill out and relax. Things like that happen...Some of the demands they ask me to do, I just don't meet. Maybe I have a problem with time or something, I don't know."

Our View:Wow, sounds like a great teammate. Let's see he admitted to violating rules and not really caring one flip about it. And he also said that he didn't lose any sleep over letting his teammates down. Where can we find a job like that?

Plaxico Burress has reached a settlement with the Giants to avoid a grievance with the NFL, according to the NY Daily News.

Our View:His fine has been reduced from $235,294 to $117,647. But he will still be suspended for Week 5. Domenik Hixon will start in his place against Seattle opposite Amami Toomer.

Plaxico Burress could reportedly face league discipline for failing to report two incidents that gave rise to the issuing of restraining orders against him, according to ProFootballTalk.com. Charley Casserly of the NFL Today said, "The league is now looking into possible discipline or counseling for him for this failure in violation of the Personal Conduct Policy."

Our View:Burress was never arrested. And when there’s no arrest or other charge, the obligation to make a report isn’t quite as clear. We will keep you posted on the situation.

The Giants could have been much tougher on Plaxico Burress, according to Adam Schefter of NFL Network. His one-game, two-week suspension could cost him a little over $235,000, but the club could have gone after as much as $11.5 million.

Our View:Due to language in his contract, Burress could have lost his future roster and other bonuses because he was suspended. Bottom line, fantasy owners should expect Plax back in Week 6.

ESPN.com reports that Plaxico Burress will agree to the one-game suspension in return for some financial relief. He had financial implications written into his offseason contract extension to address these very matters.

Our View:Burress and his agent had discussed appealing the suspension to the league, but it seems they will be ok with it as long as they aren't kept to their contractual agreement.
