Injuries
Monta EllisLeft ankle sprain - out 3 months
Newsbreakers
Corey Maggette, GSunday 10/5, 9:17 PM CT
Corey Maggette, in his first game in a Warriors uniform, went 5-for-9 from the field and 3-for-4 from the line on his way to 13 points and five rebounds in 28 minutes of action on Sunday night.

Our View:Maggette will have to handle the bulk of the scoring load in the early going for the Warriors with Monta Ellis on the bench. While his scoring total may dip a bit once the club is fully healthy, he appears to be a good bet to score 20 points a game, something he has done in three of the past five seasons.
Marco Belinelli, GSunday 10/5, 9:11 PM CT
Marco Belinelli scored a team-high 14 points in 23 minutes off the bench for Don Nelson's Warriors on Sunday night. He hit two three pointers in the effort and turned the ball over only one time.

Our View:It remains to be seen just what role Belinelli will fill this year for the Warriors, but he will likely see a fair amount of action in the preseason as the team determines how many minutes they will want to allocat to Marco once the season begins.
C.J. Watson, GSunday 10/5, 5:45 PM CT
C.J. Watson will start at point guard for the Warriors in their first preseason game due to the injuries to Monta Ellis and Marcus Williams, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Our View:Stephen Jackson, Corey Maggette, All Harrington and Andris Biedrins will also start. Once Williams' ankle is healthy, he should be the one running the Warriors offense with Watson serving as his backup until Ellis recovers from his own ankle injury.
