He would have accepted the honor to play for Team USA if he felt he was 100% healthy. |

April 19, 2008 As proved true during the regular season, it was Amare Stoudemire doing the bulk of the work for the Phoenix Suns in their 117-115 double OT loss to the Spurs. Stoudemire shot 13-for-26 from the field and 7-for-9 from the free-throw line to score 33 points. Stoudemire also added seven rebounds and two blocked shots to the statline, raking him as the MVP for Game 1 of this exciting 1st-round series. Our View:What a fine all-around effort for Stoudemire who played almost 46 minutes in the game. Look for him to continue to be the lead dog in terms of point on offense for the Suns. |
