One Indians official compares newly acquired Luis Valbuena's swing to "Robinson Cano lite," FOXSports.com reports.

Our View:That is high praise for the prospect, who is now considered the Indians' second baseman of the future with the possibility of current second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera shifting to shortstop.

The Indians acquired Luis Valbuena on Wednesday from the Mariners in a 12-player transaction that also involved the Mets, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Valbuena appeared in 17 games last season with the Mariners and hit .261. It's possible that the Indians see him as an everyday second baseman and will slide Asdrubal Cabrera to shortstop and Jhonny Peralta to third base.
