The Rangers optioned Kevin Mahar back to Triple-A Oklahoma on Saturday. He had just three hits in 18 at-bats since being recalled.

The Rangers called up Kevin Mahar from the minors on Wednesday to replace the injured Brad Wilkerson on the roster. Mahar began the year in Double-A, but he was recently promoted to Triple-A, where he was hitting .349 in 11 games. The Rangers mainly called up him for his defensively ability, and it's unlikely he'll get enough playing time to have any value in fantasy.
