Michael Aubrey has been placed on the minor league DL with Triple-A Buffalo, according to the TribeTimeReport.com. Michael Valdez took his spot on the Bisons' roster while he is out of action.

Our View:The team did not disclose why he was placed on the DL. Aubrey was hitting .313 over 17 games in Triple-A, but only hit .185 over 27 at-bats with the Indians, and holds no fantasy value.

Michael Aubrey has been optioned back to Triple-A Buffalo, according to the AP. The team recalled reliever Tom Mastny, and felt Aubrey was expendable to make room on the roster.

Our View:Aubrey homered in his first at-bat with Cleveland this season, and hit two overall, but held a dismal .185 average (over 27 at-bats) and needs more work in Triple-A before he can make an impact with the Indians.

Michael Aubrey made his third straight start at first base for the Indians on Monday, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Manager Eric Wedge is not ready to comment on a potential platoon at first with Ryan Garko, but Wedge did state, "Garko is still going to be playing first base. I'm not going to jump head over heels into Michael Aubrey, he's only been here for a week. But if I feel like he's doing a good job for us, I'm not going to be afraid to play him. I like the way Aubrey's playing right now, and Garko needs to be doing better. He's trying to figure it out."

Our View:Garko entered Monday 16-for-88 (.182) over his last 26 games and is hitting a mere .236 for the season. Aubrey is only hitting .200 over 20 at-bats, but has two homers. Garko is a righty and Aubrey is a lefty, so a platoon would make sense.

Cleveland manager Eric Wedge stated he had every intention of giving Michael Aubrey , the team's first-round draft pick (11th overall) from 2003, starts in the majors this season. Today, that promise will come to fruition as Aubrey is slated to make the start at first base against the Cincinnati Reds, according the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View:Aubrey got into Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Reds in the eighth inning as a defensive replacement, moving Casey Blake to third. He nearly tagged his first major league hit but was robbed by a fine defensive effort from Cincinnati second baseman Brandon Phillips. The team is expected to send Aubrey back to the minors if closer Joe Borowski is activated later this week, but until then, it appears Wedge will give the young prospect his opportunity to shine.

Infielder Michael Aubrey has been recalled from Triple-A Buffalo, according to MLB.com. The team optioned lefty hurler Jeremy Sowers to Buffalo to make room on the roster.

Our View:Aubrey was the 11th overall pick in 2003, and displays one of the smoothest swings in the Indians' system, but has had trouble staying healthy. He will be making his debut in the majors.

First baseman Michael Aubrey batted .345 (10-for-29) over his first seven games with Triple-A Buffalo, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He was promoted from Double-A Akron on May 2.

Our View:Aubrey was the 11th overall pick in 2003, and displays one of the smoothest swings in the Indians' system, but has had trouble staying healthy. The left-handed Aubrey played in just 243 games from 2003 to 2007.
