Our View:Braun has put up fantastic number in his first two years with the Brewers, hitting 71 home runs in 1062 at-bats.

Ryan Braun won a Silver Slugger on Thursday, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Braun's power numbers had a slight increase in 2008 from his rookie year in 2007, but he saw his average decrease from .324 to .285. Braun is still a great fantasy option, even with the slight loss in average, as he even provided 14 steals for fantasy owners in 2008.

Former Mets manager Willie Randolph was hired to be the bench coach of the Milwaukee Brewers, according to the AP.

Our View:Randolph was fired as the manager of the Mets in the middle of last season. The previous season, his team melted down in September, blowing a big lead and missing the playoffs.

Ken Macha is likely going to be named the next manager of the Milwaukee Brewers, according to the New York Post.

Our View:Other candidates for the job were Willie Randolph and Bob Brenly. It also seems Milwaukee pitching coach Mike Maddux could take that same post with the Texas Rangers.

Ryan Braun went 2-for-4 in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Phillies in Game 2 of the NLDS at Citizens Bank Park. Both of his hits were doubles. The Brewers only mustered three total hits in the game.

Our View:The Brewers snuck into the playoffs as the NL wildcard, but look to be headed for a quick exit as they trail 2-0 in the best-of-five series.
