Newsbreakers
September 27, 2008
Zach Jackson won his second straight game on Saturday night. In seven innings he gave up only two runs on three hits in the Indians' 12-6 win.

Our View:In Jackson's last two starts he has gone 13 innings giving up only four runs.
September 22, 2008
Zach Jackson defeated the Red Sox and Josh Beckett on Monday by allowing two runs over six innings of work. He allowed six hits and four walks while striking out four.

Our View:This was Jackson's first victory of the year in an outing in which he uncharacteristically failed to throw strikes. Jackson needs pinpoint control on most nights, but in this outing he got by without it.
September 11, 2008
Zach Jackson is still searching for his first win as an Indian after he fell to 0-3 on Thursday night. Johnson gave up four runs over six innings in the Indians 6-3 loss.

Our View:Johnson has pitched at least five innings in each of his six starts as an Indian. All though Johnson hasn't been bad owners should stay away from him.
August 14, 2008
Zach Jackson hurled a pretty good game in his team's 11-6 loss to the Orioles. Jackson went five innings and allowed three runs on eight hits.

Our View:Jackson wasn't bad, but he certainly was not great. Fantasy owners should probably let him be, barring a sudden hot streak.
August 13, 2008
Zach Jackson has been recalled from Triple-A Buffalo, according to the AP. He will take the roster spot left open by Paul Byrd's departure to Boston.

Our View:The 25-year-old lefty went 3-1 with a 4.05 ERA in four starts and four relief appearances at Buffalo. He allowed two earned runs and five hits over 3.2 innings with the Indians, with one strikeout. He is slated to start Thursday in the rotation in place of Byrd. Jackson only merits fantasy consideration in deeper AL-only leagues.
