The two-mile unrestricted, intermediate speedways—Michigan International Speedway and its sister track, Auto Club Speedway in California—are a driver’s dream. The tracks have long straightaways for drafting, smooth, banked turns and most importantly, wide lanes for passing. This makes it a fairly easy track on which to race.
