The '07-'08 regular season ended with a host of new faces populating the top of the PIM chart. Six of the top 10 penalty getters this year were rookies, including league leader Daniel Carcillo (324 PIM in 57 games played), fighting leader Jared Boll (226 PIM, 28 fighting majors in 78 games played) as well as noted pugilists Adam Burish (214 PIM in 80 games played), Riley Cote (202 PIM in 70 games played), Zach Stortini (201 PIM in 66 games played) and David Clarkson (183 PIM in 81 games played).
