Nationwide qualification went long, and with a crowded schedule already on tap, there were only a few minutes between the morning and Happy Hour sessions to make critical changes on the cars. In fact, there was so little time that only 10 drivers ventured onto the track in the afternoon session during its first five minutes, but slowly and surely action on the track heated up.
