We’ve reached the quarter-pole of the 2008-09 season and it has been a tough opening stretch for the horses of the hempen hut. There have been a litany of injuries among goaltenders, enticing some pundits to suggest that the constant up-and-down motion necessitated by the butterfly style favored by the majority of NHL crease cops has elevated the alarming increase in twine-tender twinges.
