Ben Roethlisberger has been plagued by shoulder problems since Week 2. The diagnosis thus far has been a shoulder separation. As a reminder, shoulder separations involve the acromioclavicular (AC joint). This is the end of the collar bone. The joint usually becomes separated when the player lands directly onto the shoulder. Return to play is usually dictated by the level of pain. For a "Tale of Two Shoulders" with the same injury, one needs to look no further than Eli Manning and Alex Smith last year. Eli recovered and went on to win the Superbowl and Smith went on to surgery and possibly into fantasy oblivion.Associate Editor
