The 2008-09 NHL season is upon us, and each team is unveiling their opening day rosters. Although most rookies are being sent to the American Hockey League or their respective junior clubs for further development, there is a select few that are given the chance to play on the big stage. For some rookies, this represents a minimal exposure before being sent down in order to get a feel for regular season play, yet for others, expectations are high as these rookies are being groomed for immediate impact.
