With the 2008-09 season just days away, teams are filling out their rosters with the hopes that their young rookies and draft selections make an immediate impact on their respective teams. Teams that are currently in the rebuilding phase of their franchise will give a couple of young hopefuls a second look, while veteran squads look for youthful exuberance to enhance an already potent lineup. For some, this time of the year represents a chance to live the dream of being an everyday NHL player.
