Saturday night’s race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway proved there are more than just two guys battling it out for this championship title. On old tires, Jeff Burton snagged his 21st career victory by holding off Kasey Kahne for the win, and with that came a two spot jump in the standings, putting him a mere 69 points behind leader Jimmie Johnson in second place. Burton’s success was due in part to Carl Edwards’ lousy day, but in such a tight race for the Championship, it doesn’t matter how you move up as long as you do. Edwards fell two spots in the Chase and two spots in our rankings, allowing Johnson to move up into the top spot while Greg Biffle snagged the second position.Contributing Editor
